in Atlanta, Georgia!
The Fifteenth AAAI Conference on
Artificial Intelligence and Interactive
Digital Entertainment (AIIDE- 19) will
be held at the at Georgia Tech, October
8–12, 2019. AIIDE is the definitive
point of interaction between entertainment software developers interested
in AI and academic and industrial
AI researchers. Sponsored by AAAI,
the conference is targeted at both the
research and commercial communities,
promoting AI research and practice
in the context of interactive digital
entertainment systems with an emphasis on commercial computer and video
games. This year’s conference features
a special topic of “Human-Centered
Evaluation,” and will include speakers,
panels, and paper sessions that focus
on directly evaluation and critical
analysis of AI in digital entertainment
contexts.
The program will also include a
slate of invited speakers, technical
paper presentations, a poster and
demo session, a doctoral consortium,
and the annual Starcraft AI Competition. The Playable Experiences
track will continue this year with
four systems with articulable innovation in the use of AI directly affecting
the user’s experience, including Rime
Royale: A Guildmaster Simulator,;
Playing with SHRDLU; Human Improvised Theatre Augmented with Artificial Intelligence; and TEDRIC: A
Talk Exercise Designer for Realizing
Improvisational Comedy. Finally, the
main conference program will be
preceded by two workshop days on
October 8–9.
